Darling youuuu send me

I think I'm being replaced again at work.

I mean Veronica is gone now, but there's another intern from a different department who got "laid-off" (the truth is, there are political reasons why, not really financial) and IT picked her up. Today, I walked into work today and Catherine said she didn't have anything to do because it's all been "taken care of". Grrrr.

On a happier note, here's a more recent picture of me and my baby! He's barely 6 pounds:

And, it's only Tuesday

This morning, there was a knock at my door and it was D with cider and donuts for breakfast :) He also brought this adoooorable stuffed animal dog that my dog keeps growling at and an orchid (my favorite flower) which I put with the rose.
After classes, my mom and I hung around at home talking about the prospects of our recent house showings and future possible townhouses/condos while munching on leftovers and baked muffins with melted snickers on the inside.

Some of the smaller things that have been on my mind:
How did I ever lose touch with so many people?
Why do I feel like my life is in a place that is too far ahead of how old I am and where it should be?
Why do I keep having these ridiculous nightmares about things I don't want to talk/think about?

The other night, a man named John called our house asking for my dad, and I had a real hard time explaining to him that he had the right number, but the man he was looking for was not a resident. He said he had met my parents a little bit before I was born. It was weird talking to someone who I'd never met before but knew a lot about my parents and my life.

In a few weeks, Enoch is getting married. I didn't really get a formal invite (I dunno if there even was one) but I guess I'm going to the wedding because my mom is...? Anyway, I've been thinking about how awkward it's going to be to see everyone again.

New word I find neat: irascible, meaning crabby.

Good weekend, good week-start!

This past weekend was amazing, and the weather was absolutely goregous! Did a lot of cooking, went back to the mall and bought the dress I've been eyeing (which happened to be on sale this time), watched a lot of sitcoms, went to the cider mill with D, and just lounged around in absolute comfort.

Lunch with Natalie at BWW on Saturday. We left the waiter a little note on the receipt and ran out of there giggling like little girls - haha :) Here's the cutie sporting her Tigers gear.

This morning, I got a text message from D that said "Check your mail". I checked all of my email addresses, and each one had a message that said "Not this one..." or "Nope, not this one either!" So when I got home, I got another message in my mailbox that said "Your present for today is hidden by the stairs... it's up to you to find the right stairs" So I looked for half an hour and finally found a rose and a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates (my favorite!) by the stairs, outside on the deck with another note. According to my mom, (and I quote word for word) "he's getting his game on" hahaha :)

IT has been doing a vigorous clean up, and as a result, I have a new mouse with a retractable USB cord and a big, black Viewsonic monitor. Yayyy for a 21 inch monitor!

Just five cools things

1. My adorable puppy

2. Cube Fabulous - I would love to enter this! It's like Extreme Home Makeover except it's for your cubicle! The Beach Bum guy is the funniest!

3. I found a way on Blogger to compile all my entries into one document and export it into Word using HTML. I've always wondered if I'd be able to eventually print out all my entries for keeps, since I'm all about documentation.

4. Allrecipes.com has quite possibly bumped its way up to the top of my list for favorite websites! Haha, now I just have to try the 20 I bookmarked. This includes tackling sushi and fondue (not together of course) - my top two favorites!

5. My aunt sending over a box of milk tea and other festive treats :)

So much to say, so little energy!

Today, when I was sitting at lunch doing some work for Ricardo, eating my slice of cold pizza, and minding my own business, I heard someone next to me say “he wants to marry you!” I looked over and a group of four, Russian boys’ heads quickly ducked on the other side of the wall of the booth I was sitting in. And then they giggled like little school girls, and I sighed.

Sometimes, I think there are some really weird people out there.

Got a lot on my mind about what was talked about in Philosophy...
