Whoooo haaa!

Yayyy - happy news!

The old gang is gonna have a reunion next Saturday!!!!! We're going to dinner and a Tigers game next Saturday, although I don't know why we go to baseball games for reunions - Kyle is the only one who knows anything about baseball. This will be the first reunion since our last reunion two summers ago. I'm super excited/nervous because things between the four of us have changed soo much (you know what I'm talking about). I would have to say, hands down, that this is one of the best group of friends I've ever had in my life.

The doggie's potty training is getting better and better, although his biting is getting worse. He wasn't biting at all when we first got him, which is weird. But Lindsey says he might be teething and he just needs something to chew on.

It's kind of sad how the summer is ending. Although work (and school) will continue for me right where I am right now, everyone is moving away to school talking about how exciting everything will be. Even all my co-op buddies are leaving work within the next month or so. I guess we'll see what happens.

The most random line of a song I heard on the radio this morning on my way to work caught my attention (I know that was a funny sentence, it made sense in my head): maybe next time will be the right time. I think I need to be more patient and not so eager, while still ambitious, and let everything happen at the right time. Maybe.

I guess what was, won't be again

I got a lot to say and not a lot of time. I'll just list what's going on and expand on them until I have to get off I guess.

CFCU technology: being able to IM a live rep online with bank questions is much better than waiting on the phone and listening to hold music. It's a pretty neat upgrade

Printer jammed incident: it's like automated employees who stand there and stare blankly at the printer not knowing what to do. It was funny to see that when an average Ricardo employee's regular rhythm is disrupted, he/she almost panics.

Hans problem: leaving him too bored makes him get himself in trouble and I've had to address some serious issues with him. It makes me feel guilty to think it might be my fault he's bored out of his mind. After all, Tim is a couch potato and my mom has meetings with SGM (Shanghai GM) all week.

Romeo digs: it's so cute how he takes his toys to a corner and pretends to dig a hole in the carpet, drop the toy in the "hole", and use his nose to push the "dirt" back over the hole.

Kristin: just started to get to know her and she quit to move to Arizona, leaving next Tuesday. She started telling me about how it's starting to hit her that she's leaving, and I think she started tearing up.

Lemonade stands: kids in our sub always have them, and today, a little boy was outside by himself holding up a sign so I stopped by. I asked the boy, who looked about 6, if he was by himself, and the poor kid said his friends all had to go home. Overtime worker. That's the sign of a future entrepreneur, don't ya think?

Ignorance: is it bliss? I think my mom likes to excuse herself from dealing with things just so she won't have to have one more problem on her plate. I guess I don't blame her, but there are just some things you can't let slip through your fingers, selectively.

It's nice: Helen emails me the longest, sweetest emails with lots of smiley faces and cheesy jokes. I wish I could communicate with my grandma the way her and I write to each other.

Blu-ray: Dusan says that since they have created tinier (is that a word?) lasers, they can fit up to 50 gig on one disc now. So the way VHS and floppy discs became extinct, I guess DVDs will become extinct within the next year. I'm so glad to have a tekkie boyfriend who can warn me not to waste money on DVD's/DVD players.

A word I like: hiatus. Which means a gap or a pause. For example, "I wish I had a hiatus in my summer so I could have some time to myself." You know how it goes.

Pineapple juice and rice

I wasn't feeling too good today, and right after lunch when walking to Tracy's desk, I ran to the bathroom and puked. All of my breakfast and lunch came up. Now I don't really know what to eat so I'm just eating plain rice and drinking pineapple juice (which reminds me of NYC).

Aside from that, I been thinking a lot lately...
I'll leave it at that before my big mouth gets in trouble.

I have this strange urge to do things/go places/see people that I used to have security in, just to have that feeling again. Know what I mean?

I wish it was the weekend so JVA would stop telling Kristi to tell Tracy to tell me things I need to do for him. Ick.

Hey Chicago, what's going on?

Yesterday/Monday morning, I walked into work to my new cubicle which will soon have a royal blue hutch with shelves. Opened up my email to find an email about how Claude is sending me and Catherine to Chicago on business! He said he'd have just sent me but I'm not old enough to rent a car (you have to be 21 or maybe older).

A couple weeks ago, I went out to lunch with Veronica who struck me with "Oh I'm going to Chicago, FYI..." I'm like, "for... Ricardo?" and she's like, "yeah on a business trip," and I almost lost it.

Apparently Reggie found out there were two IT interns now at DTC and he wrote up a request to have one sent over to CTC. Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is HA, Veronica, HA!

Went out to lunch with Tieara yesterday to BK. Their crispy chicken salads are actually real good. That and a Wendy's cup of chili and I'm set for life.

Romeo's potty training is coming a little better. I'm not sure if it's progress or coincidence because the only one who can get him to go potty outside is Dusan. Aside from that, he'll only potty outside in the morning when we wake up and take him out and he can't hold it anymore.

A couple nights ago, Romeo woke me up with his crying from the thunderstorms. Poor baby.

Well, now I'm at UofM-D on orientation registering for classes. Is 13 credits enough? I guess I'm staying at Ricardo during the school year so 13 should be enough. Right? I don't know, this thing is so weird. I had my schedule planned out on paper and when I entered it online, I was waitlisted for every class, resulting in having to redo my schedule.

Umm yeah, about Big Ben leaving Detroit? I'm not feeling that too well. If there's anyone I would have thought represented Detroit sports as an icon, he might have been my first pick. Next to Billups, of course, since he's my Pistons icon. Was it really about the money Ben?

Oh I almost forgot! I got my AP Psych scores back and guess how I did! I got a 5! I know all you Asians out there who took 5 APs each and got 5's on every test are laughing at me, but this is a big accomplishment for me.

His name is Romeo

Since I last posted, everything has been crazy!

For starters, I went back three or four times to see the little puppy in my last entry, and when I woke up on the July 4th morning, my mom was like "alright, let's go to get that dog!".

Name: Romeo
Type: Havanese-Chiuaua

Weight: 3.3 lbs.
Age: 3 months old

He's b
een keeping me busy although his potty training is not doing well and he badly needs to be neutered (he has some sexual behavior problems - yes you know what I'm talking about). Other than that, he is the sweetest baby and he has such a puppy sense of humor! Look at how tiny he is next to the step!
On July 4th evening, Justin, Dusan, Tim, me, and my mom went to watch the fireworks at Kensington Park. The traffic was like a hundred times worse than last year and it took us an hour longe
r to get home, but it was well worth it. I got some pretty sweet shots on camera through Tim's binoculars:I wish I had a picture of the smiley face firework they launched - that was pretty cool.

On July 5th, my cousin Hans arrived from Taiwan. It's the first time in years anyone has come to visit, and the first time a cousin has come to visit. So far, we've taken Hans rock climbing, laser tagging, go-carting, putt putting, and have gone to Ann Arbor, Macaroni Grille, Taco Bell, Ajishin, and Noodles and Company.
Here's Colleen, Joe, Tim, Dusan, and Hans at Putting Edge:

With Ricardo, you could probably say I got promoted without actually getting promoted because Claude gave me the task of Flash aaaaaaand I got to move into Brent's old cubicle :) but no extra money :( Anyway, that's a big deal for me, for all you hot-shot Bosch-ers who are laughing right now :P I don't have to sit by Veronica anymore.

Catherine went crazy when finding out I got a dog. She has a dog and treats him/talks about him like he's her son. For lunch one day, she brought me to PetsMart to show me what was the best stuff for my pup. At least I can ask her anything about dogs and she'll know the answer!

Anyway, UofM-D orientation is coming up on Tuesday. Turns out I did alright on the math placement exam, suprisingly. Now we just have to wait on the English scores :)

Oh yeah I almost forgot! D put subs in my car as a grad present!

It's just a million crashes

Despite my Friday night "Whose Line is it Anyway" three hour marathon on my couch by myself yesterday,
And that D and I talked a million things out today,
Yeah I'd have to say I'm pretty unhappy.

Something's got to change and I know that that something has got to be me.

Did you know

I fell in love today?

With a Havanese-Chihuahua who I can't have. He gave me a million kisses.
I'm not sure what I'd name him, but he's the sweetest little dog. Here's a closeup I guess (I know it doesn't help that I have a black shirt and black hair on:
